We are in the process of creating a wiki (a collaboratively created web site) on the topic of historical educational shifts.
Each of you will create a single page on the wiki with an educational shift. You will make a link on the home page to your shift page.
Home Page: Make sure you put your link under the appropriate subcategory (who are schools for; the purpose of ed; how government is involved). Include the date. Make sure it is listed in chronological order (older ones first, newer ones last).
Shift Page: Include the following:
Title
Description/Overview
Answer 3 questions (What we believed before….; What we believed after….; How do schools still act as if we have the “old” belief?)
At least 3 references (linked)
Every time you edit, make a note at the bottom about what change you made
Rubric for Page:
Novice - Some of these: Page exists. Little or no information. Perhaps overview, but 3 questions not addressed. Fewer than 3 references.
Developing - Some of these: Brief overview. Brief resounces to questions. fewer than 3 linked references. Not all editing sessions documented with notes.
>
# Proficient - All of these: Descriptive title. Beefy overview. 3 questions well answered. Links to at least 3 references. All editing sessions documented in notes.
>
Outstanding - Proficient plus some of these: more than 3 linked references. Embedded links. Especially informational or especially well written. Includes pictures.
